“As Chairman of DWP’s Employer Engagement on Disability Steering Group, I can vouch for the excellence that Kate Headley and The Clear Company have brought to bear in developing a very practical “tool-kit” for employers on how to recruit and retain disabled people, and they have done this through a very involving process with major and SME employers across the country.”

Testimonials

“I particularly like the references and links to the business case for diversity as this is the key and will demonstrate to less willing or reluctant employers that there are real business benefits for proactively widening the pool for potential employees, the untapped potential is endless and many disabled people who are out of work could be real assets to organisations if only given the opportunity.”

Senior Diversity Manager

The Disability ClearKit is the result of three years in-depth research with 220 leading employers, developed in association with the DWP, to address the barriers employers face when recruiting disabled talent by inspiring, educating and empowering organisations to adopt best practice principles when recruiting.

Designed by employers for employers, this ClearKit combines the experience of thought leaders and employer case studies with relevant and helpful tips and ‘must do’ check lists which help dispel the myths that prevent many employers from giving disabled people an opportunity to join their teams. Employers of all sizes have contributed and we are very pleased to provide a sample of contributors and partners below:

BT, Eon UK, Home Office, UK Border Agency, HMRC, Sainsbury’s, South Eastern Trains, Mitie Group plc, Royal Mail Group, Lloyds Banking Group, ITV, DWP, Job Centre Plus, Chartered Institute of Housing, Employers Forum on Disability, NHS, Blackpool Council, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, Visit Manchester, The Cooperative.
