Mind the Generational Gap: Bridging Differences in the Hybrid Workplace

Tuesday 16th September 11:30, virtual

In an unique moment in history, we find ourselves with five generations coexisting in the workplace. This unique blend of experience and perspective presents both challenges and opportunities shaped by technological advancements and shifting office cultures.

This session will delve into the intricacies of creating a hybrid work environment that caters to the diverse needs of colleagues who have entered the workforce under vastly different circumstances. Discussions will centre on the experiences of professionals from various age groups and career stages within the insurance industry.

We’ll explore best practices for fostering an inclusive culture, bridging potential generational gaps and building a harmonious hybrid workplace where intergenerational collaboration thrives.

Beyond Numbers: Understanding People through Data

Thursday 18th September 15:30, One Creechurch Place or virtual

Data collection is a privileged activity – it helps us understand our organisations and deliver meaningful initiatives that benefit both employees and the business. It empowers our disabled and neurodiverse communities, and communicating the ‘why’ behind data sharing with employees helps us understand their human experience and how our business benefits from insights and changes.

This session will explore the process of making data impactful for our disabled and neurodiverse colleagues. We’ll discuss the lived experience of disability inclusion in practice, case studies on making data gathering and usage impactful, consider employee reactions to data requests, and think about how we build trust now and beyond.
